Hindi lang niya siguro naiintindihan ang adhikain ng pamantasang hirang. Pero ako ay dismayado sa nasabing tao. Marahil isa siya sa mga taong ‘di batid ang tunay na estado ng Pilipinas.

Is the author serious? I mean, TOTALLY ABOLISHED? For what? Being free thinkers? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO WHEN ONE IS CRITICIZED FOR THINKING BEYOND THE BOX?

Flawed premise, I see. UP apparently mass-produces socialist/progressive thinkers who are threats to society.

I don’t think so.

I think one of the reasons why people in UP think that way is due to the fact that we, the Iskolar ng Bayan, can directly feel the effects of our government’s misguided priorities. After all, it is the government who funds the university. We can therefore see where the funds go, or rather do NOT go to, and so we see the flaws in the system.

That is why we think out of the box. For if we do not, then nothing will ever be solved and we will be in a worse place than we are now. There has to be someone who will see the flaws in a system, because no system is perfect. Check and balance, really.

Also, I disagree with abolishing tax-funded education. If we completely eradicate this, then we are violating one basic human right: the right to education. He says (in his blog post) that it is not a right - I beg to disagree. No one deserves to be ignorant of his surroundings. How can man be a productive member of society when he knows nothing? Life is not meant to be lived for one’s self alone - it becomes devoid of meaning that way.

PS. I have never read so much bullcrap in my life.
